(Side note: If you want to learn more about what I have been up to with my 1st graders, I'll be sending out a private newsletter update soon! If you aren't subscribed and would like to be, let me know!)
Back-to-school-after-winter-break selfie!
Mood: Jetlagged but trying to be upbeat! :)
My church, FPC-Kingwood, sent me back with treats for my fellow elementary teachers! You would not believe how excited we get about things like Ziploc bags and colored Expo markers! :)
Dinner at a new restaurant with my friends!
Love these girls! Such an encouragement and a joy to be with them!
You know the phrase, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? I don't have anything nice to say about winter weather. I'll just show you this picture of the little yellow church in the center of my town, looking pretty in the snow!
Just in the past few days, it has been warming up to the 40s (wide- eyed emoji face here) so it feels like spring is really around the corner! (Note: I felt this way last year too. Then it snowed in April.)
The Széchenyi thermal baths are a great way to relax during the cold winter!
We stayed until it got dark! Such a fun day!

One of my oldest, dearest friends came to visit in February! Emily and I have known each other since 3rd grade! She was able to visit ICSB on the day of our basketball tournament pep rally (which is a big deal around here)!
We made a trip to Vienna and enjoyed some classical music at Sala Terrena, where Mozart once played!
We enjoyed a tour of Schoenbrunn Palace, and climbed to the Gloriette for a pretty view!
Back in Budapest, we ate dinner at my favorite restaurant, Akademia Italia!
We toured the beautiful Parliament building which is right along the Danube river.
What a joy to have her here! We had the best time and laughed so much!
